Martha's Leelanau Table

The best thing I like about Martha's is that you can have your dog outside at your table.

Canine companions are always  welcome!!

Three New Tin-men

This is "short stuff".

This guy has dark, romantic eyes.

Highly intelligent, you can tell by the length of his funnel!

Suttons Bay Art Walk June 2011

When the village of Suttons Bay decides to throw a party, stand back, no telling how fun this night will be!!

Our featured artist was Vanessa Fox.

Garden stones, door stops and fairy portals.

My favorite garden stone.

Steve poured Good Neighbor Organic hard ciders for the evening.

He served a pretzel smorgasbord with honey and Dijon mustards for dipping.

Lisa came in from working all day at Larkin Insurance Agency to ring up the nights sales and stamp the art walk cards.

These are my feet at the end of a 13 hour day. What a great party. Steve Martin played all night and we sold 4 of his cds, Rare Bird. The next Art Walk throw down is October 21st, see you there.

Friday's Flowers

You would be surprised at what grows in the woods at Hoot's Holler. Love the light coming through the Poppie.

Iris under the Witch-hazel.

Iris in the Lilacs.

Snowball outside the workshop.

Dainty Columbine.

These Iris are very fragrant.

Fluffy Rhododendron.

Columbine under the Forsythia.

Anchor Cottage Is Stocked!

Sold all the nautical pillows off the bed last week so we flipped it over to John Robshaw bedding. Looks like a Lake Leelanau cottage bed, love it!

We got our golf gloves and visors in this week.

Malabar voile tunics are coming in a few at a time.

We have our Michigan t-shirts back this year, I love that the designer of the shirt, in California, put Suttons Bay on the shirt!

Malabar voile capris with a big bow belt are coming in a few at a time, they are cute cute.

Baby girl sweaters for our chilly Lake Michigan nights.

Baby world got a huge dose of color this season.

Baby boy sweaters.

Baby jeans to wear with the argyle sweaters.

"Found" these chairs in Florida and painted them up on my day off this week.

Leaning toward grand, rich colors this summer.

I love that Emma Bridgewater's patterns all work together.

Anchor Cottage is sporting a colorful collection of cottage accessories for summertime living.

We have one more weeks worth of stock coming in, where we will display it is another blog!!

Sarah Makes The Bed

Spring has its quiet days here at Anchor Cottage. So while Sarah was at the helm on Wednesday she flipped the bed to a nautical theme. Good job!!

Looking Through The Eyes Of A Customer

What is that Peacock made from? One huge pitcher gourd. She's the store mascot. Her name is Helen Harding, after my Great Grandmother, Grandma Morgan.

What kind of fish are swimming in the rug room? Mackerel, of course!

Look at the dogs and bears ridding around the store in a Radio Flyer wagon.

What a menagerie:-)

Friday's Flowers

Spring in Northern Michigan means cool nights, lot of rain and some sunshine peeking out.

The Pansies love the spring climate in the Leelanau Peninsula.

My darling husband brought in a bouquet of Lilacs. They smell wonderful.
