That Funny Green....

What caught my eye, this week, was this funny color of green.

 It has a little blue and a small amount of black in the mix.

 So far I have painted a bookcase and wicker table in this color.

 It seems to work with warm woods, bright pink and the naturals, lopi wool and barn wood!

 The coral wall and the indigo chair, in the Matisse painting, complements this funny green!

 What would you name this paint color? 

Venus And The Moon

First shot was the best shot, just pulled the camera up to my nose and held my breath.Then I clicked the shutter.

Caught them off the top of our ridge from down in the holler directly west. 

The star and the planet felt so near and gone so quick, as in a "blink of an eye" or the speed of the camera lens, so to say.

Sewing Under The Eaves

It feels like I am sewing under a tent!

The sun is shining through the window and all the fabric patterns and colors are so cheerful!

I find myself leaning toward the yellow and red more often than not!
In my next life I want to weave in front of the fire on a chilly afternoon and get lost in the technique 
Working on the store decor, sketching out my plans and finding I have lots to do!

Time to take a break and put a fire in the fireplace.

What To Buy At Treillage

Christmas Eve and we are snuggled in at the Evelyn Hotel listening to the rain. I say to Steve, "Steve darling did you look up the hours for Treillage on the computer?" He said, "yes dear they are open until 6:00 today." "Will you call and make sure, please." To make a long story short, they were open until 1:00 on Christmas Eve and we had to bust out of bed and hail a taxi to take us to 418 East 75th Street. We made it with 45 minuets to spare!  What to buy at Treillage? A clay canister made just for Treillage, a book about their good friend, Furlow Gatewood and a Blackburnian Warbler! The man behind the counter wrapped it for us and threw in a copy of Serendipity for us to read the article written about Bunny Williams and John Rosselli's "Oasis In The City". What I really wanted to buy, but was too heavy, 4 pieces of firewood cast in cement! They were pretty clever!
