Looking Out Over The Vilano Bridge

Looking north up the Tolomato River.

Sawgrass, as far as the eye can see, on either side of the Intracoastal waterway.

Marshland.

Looking south, back to St. Augustine. The tides are going out.

I love the love the look of this ancient city.

Good bye 2014! Been nice to know you!

Prospect Park A Wedding Venue

On the corner of Flatbush and Prospect, the entrance of the Brooklyn Library.

Across from the Folly at the entrance of Prospect Park. Beyonce is said to live in the glass building!

The arch commemorating the Civil War.

Standing at the corner, five corners!!

Entering Prospect Park, walking to the wedding venue.

Picture the fresh green of spring leaves, dancing on the patio under the stars at the Boathouse.

The romance of love, standing together looking out at the pond of happiness.

The Gurgling Carp emerge from the water to applaud the choice of wedding vows.

A moment of serenity.

What a day! Walking to the Boathouse in Prospect Park to see where Garen and Tim will be married and have the wedding reception.

Then, in the pouring mist, we walked to the Bearded Lady and had a hot tottie.

Next, a cab ride to Five Leaves for the best dinner. A red from Spain with mussels and ricotta with figs followed by the best burger.

Up the block to The Gutter for bowling and a pitcher of beer.

Over to the Manhattan Inn Piano Bar to "sing for our supper", it was piano karaoke.

Poured back into a cab and whisked across Williamsburg to arrive at the Evelyn where we fell into a happy slumber.

What a fun engagement celebration.

A Night At The Opera

We checked our bags at the Evelyn in the Flatiron District after a cab ride in from JFK. Jumped into another cab and headed over to the Gramercy Tavern for a delicious dinner. May be the best I ever tasted.

Garen had us out the door and off to the opera. La Traviata, in all it's simplicity was performed flawlessly. The orchestra sounded beautiful. The voices carried through the venue, inciting feelings of love lost and love found, only to be lost again. True drama.

We were then whisked away by yet another taxi. The Raines Law Room, for after the opera cocktails, is a speakeasy and you need to ring the doorbell to gain entrance.

Filled with the beauty of the moment.

The lights, the stage, the music set the stage for....

...the drama of the announcement! A spring wedding in Brooklyn.

Proud to be a part of this opera of the heart, love in New York City.

Nashville Lights

I have a darling little daughter-in-law who took me out to see the city lights.

The Nashville Socialite started us off at the Party Fowl for hot chicken. It was delicious!

Then over to the Pinewood Social. What a great place to meet.

It was a comfortable venue to have a coffee or cocktail, sit in comfy chairs and talk. We played Jenga!! They also have a bowling alley and dinner.

Next stop was the City Winery with the best Merlot and Truffle Frites. The view was fabulous.

Little Miss Nash, for short, is the most fun hostess ever.
