Distractions

I really need to go over the Atlanta Mart temporaries before the first week of March. Instead I spent the last two days reading this, very well researched and written, book.

With Florida on my mind it is hard to concentrate on new product for the store right now.

Only taking two days so being well prepared is everything.

The "lines" books are piling in.

This last batch barley fit into the mailbox.

One hundred face-vases and counting. This activity is to make your brain transfer from left to right.

Homework is to draw this figure without turning it right side up! When I started to draw him I felt like I needed to start at the bottom of the paper with his head, but the instructor said no. She said if I ran out of paper I had to tape another piece on. I didn't run over so that distraction is off my list!

So after I finish my homework I am heading upstairs to sew. So much to work on and not enough hours in the day.

The Pillows Are Piling Up

Two of these...did a yellow, quilted silk cording and back on these fantastical pillows.

Interpretation of Strawberry Thief detailed with fuchsia linen.

This should make the store happy!

Four more ready to sew.

This is what I do during the grey winter months, I sew in living color. Makes the day brighter!

Happy weekend!!

Friday's Little Details

Wanderlust_p006.jpg:

Hello!! A shop full of details.

 :

My favorite detail is the Geranium on the fireplace hearth.

blue toile guest room:

Every detail accounted for.

Hydrangea Hill Cottage: Search results for cHARLES fAUDREE:

Window detail on not such a good window to work with.
Reading Spot:

The furniture placement was a big detail of this small space!

Манжеты в деталях 2 (много) / Детали / ВТОРАЯ УЛИЦА:

Would you pay extra for this lovely detail on the sleeve?

Custom sheets and cases | Luxury Bed Linens by Léron:

Details that make you want to iron your pillow cases.

No fussy details here!

Blue & White:

The covered arm detail take these occasional chairs out of the dinning room.
Chinoiserie Chic:

Take a look with out the red embroidered stripe detail on the sheets. Not quit as much fun.

Spring 2017 Ready-to-Wear Zimmermann:

Tassels and scarf detail, as a waistband for the trousers, zip the look up a notch.

Haven Hill in Lyford Cay by Amanda Lindroth.:

First of all, favorite Bunny Williams pillows on what is really good seating!  Details, how much is too much and how little is just enough. Picture the cushions above with out the navy piping and button. Just plain bland.

Got you looking around for all the details!!!

Have a great weekend.

Not A Lot Of Space But It's My Space!

My new "day station" where I conduct Anchor Cottage business while I wile away my winter in the Holler.

It is a snug, little, corner where I can make a phone call and open my briefcase. Laptop at the ready and only eighteen inches from the icebox.

Pretty objects, I have collected, all around me.

Close by are my props for flower arrangements or a pretty dish to put Peanut Butter cookies in.

A space to take a break and read a decorating magazine while enjoying a cup of organic, green tea with honey.

The most fantastic Amaryllis I have ever seen. Planted the gigantic bulb at Thanksgiving and it is worth the wait. Just gorgeous.

January flowers in the Holler. The blooming plants thrive with all the light and radiant floor heat on the sun porch.

Interesting that this bloom doesn't have a stem.

A ha! This is where the kitchen table went. We had Sunday soup in front of the fire looking out the picture window. It was a nice change. Steve got a slow cooker for Christmas and I think this "Sunday Soup" idea is the beginning of a new weekend ritual.

Cozy down here in Hoots Holler!
