Welcome To Gator Cottage
Another day in paradise.
Where do you think this is?
It is hard to explain the location as it is in the middle of nowhere, off the beaten path.
Boat dock-age to river, can you imagine?
1974 mobile home on it's own lot. You own the land!
Overlooks the pond and river, faces west for evening sunsets.
Snug little space in back for the patio, barbecue and work shed.
The neighbor.
A sweet space in the middle of northeast, central Florida, along the St. John's River. I am sold! Let me know what you think!!

Knocked Some Sand Off My Shoes...

Last Sunday's Hike!
So, it took a full week for the color to surface.
We were overcome, with autumn leaves, by the end of the week!
There must be color under the wooded canopy by now.
Down the two track we hiked.
The magic had been done.
In one week the Maple leaves had changed their color from top to bottom. A brilliant display of orange and yellow against the blue background of the sky, above.
Made our way to the end of the path and came out into the field, to look out over the hills and fall colors.
As we turned to walk back, the sun shone at our backs, lighting the path in Topaz, Citrine and Amber gems of fallen leaves.
The further we walked, the more yellow the woods became.
Golden.
Under my Maple canopy.

What A Difference A Week Makes!
Everyone in the county is exclaiming over how beautiful the fall colors are this year!
So I decided to take a walk into our woods to see if my Maple Trees were decked out in their autumn foliage
Underneath the canopy it was still a brilliant green.
There was an under lying yellow, a glimpse of what was to come.
So I continued to walk the two-track until I reached the meadow.
I found the beginning of orange, yellow and red along the perimeter of the field.
Maples, Beeches and Poplars.
The sky was pure drama.
This was last Sunday's hike. The trees had started changing their colors from the outside in. The leaves still a brilliant green underneath their crowns of yellow in Hoot's Holler!
