Observing The Details

Looking at the pictures in my British decorating magazine and what caught my eye?

These framed prints hanging on the wall, of a guest house, designed by Marshall Watson

The originals were done by Alexander Francis Lydon, born in Ireland, 1836, died in England in 1917.

"The Compleat Angler" was released by Susan Willams-Ellis for Portmeirion in 1981.

I purchased this pattern in 1981.
They have been in my cupboard for thirty five years and are used everyday. There was no recognition, for the prints, in the article. It's peculiar, how the minds eye can pick up and register, at a glance, what has been stored in the brains memory.

Monday morning musings!
