The Color Of November

At the top of the driveway, across the road, are cherry orchards. This time of year the colors are dusky and rich, amber and purple,

Then, north, up the hill the orchards are a golden yellow.

Had to include this photo for my husband. He loves that the clump of trees are spires of fire surrounded by the pines.

So mesmerized by the colors across the street I almost missed the northwest corner of our property!

The wind puffed up and blew the leaves across the picture!

I drove around the block to see the vineyards behind my home.

They start at the skyline.

 

Spill down to the road side.

Amazing foliage, 360 degrees, around my land. 

I was on my way to photograph some one hundred year old cottages and became sidetracked by the beauty in my own back yard!
