Anchor Cottage 10th Annual Christmas Open House

Jumped out of the Suburban with a Florida tan and hit the ground running. Decked the front of the store with garland and wreaths. A little snow from the heavens added the Christmas touch.

Set the table for a nautical Christmas supper.

Brought in hand made, teak mats for your outdoor shower or in front of your entry.

The bedroom looks so cozy for the holiday season.

Claire Murray's washer to dryer rugs.

Can't go wrong with this gift idea!

Linda Dahl brought in her collection of vintage jewelry.

Who could resist this rug?

I served Jello cake and Mimosas.

I "found" this silver punch bowl. I have it filled with Mercury glass balls, pine boughs and red silky ribbon for my center piece on my dinning room table.

Christmas is coming!

Anchor Cottage has lots of great gifts!

Bring your list and I will help you wrap your presents!

Whoa, all that in 12 days!

The Way We Roll

Steve caught a Florida Pompano!

Great neon yellow detail.

This catch is a little larger! It almost got the best of the fisherman! He was a Sand Trout.

In the mean time she uses salt water to clean her water color brushes.

Our special place in time, now, back to business.

Nautical Haul

I looked everywhere for lanterns.

I found some glass net floats.

Every float has it's own, "signature" knot.

These two floats are humongous. Perfect for a center piece.

This is a nice size lantern, very nice!

This pair should be painted up and electrified.
His and Hers! Mostly his because she can't lift hers!!

Life rings, hemp line and bumpers, megaphones and portholes.
I love the two anchors. Have a nice evening.

North Carolina Fabric Run

Forty eight new fabric swatches to add to our collection, here, at Anchor Cottage.

Then, I went remnant shopping! Interesting that there were not a lot of blues available.

I like the black and white collection.

This fabric and trim I am using for pillows on the "Blue Bell Cottage" sofa.

I bought this printed silk with Jackie R in mind!

Naturals.

Happy and light.

I have a little less than nine yards of this fabric. It needs pink cording and pillows to make it dance.

The reds look cozy for the season.

Walking on my wild side!

Sweet and pretty.

The green family was plentiful.

Yards of fabrics on bolts.

This is who uses the guest bedroom when I'm in town. Laugh out loud, wake up, time for a photo shoot!

Sand Hill Cranes

Two years ago these Sand Hill Cranes were over in the farmer's corn field. I tried to get a picture of them, but my little camera couldn't focus that far. So, I went and bought a camera with a zoom lens so if I ever had a chance to take their picture again, I could! Well, guess what? I want a camera with a longer lens! I took about 36 shots of these two, trying to get their silhouettes against the sky. One would look up and the other would look down and finally I caught them with both heads up. They mate for life. I am always happy to see them.

Have a great weekend!

Boxwood And Begonia In Franklin Tennessee

Franklin Tennessee is a darling little town with fabulous shops and eateries.

Steve and I spent Saturday morning drinking champagne and orange juice while dinning on steak and Eggs Benedict right down town.

After brunch we walked up and down the streets poking into antique shops. The window fronts, on the stores, were exceptional.
Fortunately I wasn't in the buying mode!

Mr. and Mrs. Griffiths

Mary Ann and Christopher Griffiths standing on a bridge over the Cumberland river with the Nashville skyline behind.

This picture should be on the cover of a bridal magazine, wow!

This daughter and daddy share a special bond.

Dear Dallas Cowboys....are not these bridesmaids fabulous?

Tony, meet the Goodfellers.

This was the moment we all were waiting for!

Mary Ann's parents are the nicest couple.

Yep! She's a mugger, should fit right in with the rest of us real well.

A rock star wedding.

I loved her bouquet and shoes.

These photos were posted on Facebook. The photographers are a husband and wife team and they did a wonderful job, I just can't remember their names.
