Thirty Eight Degrees And The Sun Is Out

| Tulips love Northern Michigan's weather. |

| The crisp mornings are the equivalent of a florists' reach in. |

Set A Pretty Table Make A Pretty Bed

| So I got right down to business when I suddenly realized that Mother's Day weekend was upon us! |

| Looked through all my tabletop items to see what I had to create a table for that special brunch on Sunday. |
 |
| Pink Peony placements and fuchsia candles on a white tablecloth embroidered with a trellis design brings us into the garden mode. |
 |
| Cranberry glass berry bowels, lettuce head place cards and green water goblets make the scene so fresh and pretty. |

| Raspberries eaten with a silver spoon. |

This Week Over At Anchor Cottage

| Working at the shop. Putting together wallpaper, window treatments and bedding. Spring nesting, is what I call it. |

| Sometimes the man of the house comes in and says, "this is what I would like my space to look like." Area rug, stripe sofa and chair plus ottoman for him. |

| Happy that I have this hand picked selection of fabrics, to pull from, for different projects that come through my door. |
 |
| Amber glass is a weakness for me. These large goblets are prefect for Bloody Marys or G & Ts this summer. |
 |
| Outside the Tulips are in bloom and grass needs cutting. It happened overnight, I swear! |
 |
| We are a happy bunch at Anchor Cottage. It is a fine mix of work and play that we enjoy. Money's Folk Art makes us smile...looking at hen with chicks reminds me that Mother's Day is right around the corner! Better set the table pretty and surprise her with a delicious brunch on Sunday. |

A kaleidoscope of design out there on Pinterest! I am loving every layer, mix, pattern and color this morning. And the sun is out! Go figure, the sun being out makes a huge difference in Northern Michigan. My customers pop their heads in with a smile and a wave. "I want a new front door mat and a fun rug for in front of my kitchen sink", they say. Time to roll out the 2 x 3's!
