Nautical Decor

Nautical signal flags can be hung outdoors, collect your initials or spell your name! The racks with hooks are nameboards off of salvaged boats, you can hang your towels, sweatshirts and totes off one of these babies. The wine bag is made from recycled sails. Add a sailboat mirror and a sailboat, a piece of regional art of the Suttons Bay Harbor and you have "Freshwater Decor".

A Beachside Kitchen Table

Sandy beaches and water everywhere. The kitchen table is for a quick snack before heading out the door for an afternoon swim. Shorebirds and sailbags, waves and beach stones that's what Lake Michigan is all about here in the Leelanau Peninsula!

Harvest Time In The Leelanau Peninsula

We are having an early harvest this year on the peninsula. We had a warm spring. The sunflowers are up and blooming, we have apricots overlapping black cherries. I'll bet the pumpkins will be around the corner. It's nice living in an agricultural area.

Men's PJs

I brought men's PJs into the mix for my tall, statuesque girls. They are made of the softest cotton. I have medium, large and extra-large. Good for men as well, you can even share, he gets the bottoms and you can wear the top!

Northport Women's Club Home Tour 2010

The tour was lovely. We saw a home that functioned off the grid! A home with pitchforks recycled as porch railings. A beautiful full log home with his and her offices.
The house with the view had a great sense of humor. The turn of the last century house was full of the primitive furnishings from the 1800s. A fine showing indeed.

Bay City Art Teacher

The gentleman I bought this painting from said he had gotten it from his art teacher when he was in high school back in the early 60's. The Queen Ann's Lace is done perfectly. It would be beautiful on someones 3 season porch. White wicker with blue and green and white cushions.

Jon Robshaw Bedding

I couldn't decide which pillow to put on the bed so I put all of them on! I love the Jon Robshaw look for the "Freshwater Cottage", the look lends itself to sandy beaches and Lake Michigan waters. His hand painted Dhurries are really graphic in design.
