Progress @ Blue Bell Cottage

Sherwin William's Dover White is Steve's favorite white and now it is mine!

Add some Pine Cone Hill and Dash & Albert from Anchor Cottage and you get a very pretty guestroom.

Went out back and looked at Steve's busy work and thought it was time for us to have a beach day.

So we snagged our towels and took the afternoon off.

Textile Arts Guild of St Augustine

Ladies spinning on a Saturday afternoon at the St Augustine visitor center.

Jan and Reba. I love that she is a barefoot spinner!

Elizabeth and Maurine, Scottish spelling not Irish!

Sharon and Candy. Candy is not only a barefoot spinner but a wisecracker to boot.

Barbara, Colleen and Rebecca. I told them that this blog is dedicated to my friend Sylvia who always tells me stories about her spinning group.

Made from the wool of eleven British sheep!

Elayne, Jewel and Cindy.

Nancy and Elenor just chit-chatting back and forth, no eye contact, just spinning away.

Robin and Pam. Look at how beautiful their rug hooking is. I asked the ladies if they ever go to Pumpkin's Patch blog and that they would find it very amusing.

Took A Walk Around My Block

Out my front door is a Tung tree and a Kumquat tree.

This guy has a pair of these green pots with the green grasses, love them.

The color.

Back and forth across the street the Azaleas are in full bloom!

This Wisteria smells like warm honey.

So full of light.

Red and fushia.

On the corner.

New growth everywhere.

There are a pair of these Sentry on either side of the driveway.

Good morning sunshine.

Around every corner.

Just fabulous.

More of fabulous.

This is only the third day of spring.

Blue pots are good spots of color.

Serene is the new green of the Ivy with the white Azaleas in the shade.

I just love the flowers in this neck of the woods!!

Looking Out Over The Salt Water Marsh

Had a delicious dinner @ Salt Water Cowboy's.

A fruity drink.

Great company.

A beautiful sunset.

The Anchor Fence Is Coming Home!!

Steve brought the anchor fence up from Deland Florida. It's coming all the way to Anchor Cottage in Suttons Bay MI! Sure is pretty leaned up against the back porch.

Pillows Make The Best Accents

I made these pillows for resale @ Anchor Cottage. I made six of the leopard print and sold all but one. Never did sell the palm tree pillows but they sure look sharp on the black leather sofa!

Only One Of Two Replicas of David

St Augustine is the oldest city in the United States.
The settlers of the city have been, over the centuries, a handful of interesting men.
Men looking forward from across the big pond.
Planting their feet in new soil.
Thinking hard. Standing tall.
Believe it or not this statue is @ Ripley's Believe It Or Not here in St Augustine Florida. Originally from the New York World's Fair. When I take my walk around the block I look up from Abbott St and there he is, looking down at me, over a hedge of boxwood! 17ft, one piece of Carrere Marble, sculpted in Italy.
