Hand Made Art By Mike Gothe

I have had so much fun with this collection of License Plate  art!

Every time Mike and his brother Dick come up north they bring me a new design. How do you like this running Elephant? His ear flaps in the wind.

Mike makes the best sailboat plaques out of Michigan license plates. Snip here and a snip there and a sail appears out of nowhere.

And if you are a resident in more than one state he makes combination pieces. Florida/Michigan, Ohio/Michigan, Michigan/Ontario and other combos. His brother, Dick, searches out all of the different plates.

He's a thinker! Actually he's an artist. The lighthouse design came from a gal down in Manistee.

That's a lot of tin snipping going on here. A plate for every state in the correct shape and location. The Alaska plate is fantastic.

These two brothers, Mike and Dick Gothe, make my day!

Summer Solstice Art Walk

I loved the metal artist that I featured at the art walk last night.

Her name is Annie Hilton.

This is a cup holder that pokes down in the sand. Nice place to set your drink.

The Bubble Gate.

Fabulous bird bath.

This fish screen would be great in front of a window or fireplace.

Her mobiles were very good.

The Dragon Flies add good whimsy.

These beautiful painted flowers bob their heads in the breeze.

I want these magnets in my store.

A smaller bobbing flower head.

Home is where the Mitt is!

This is called the Caster Girl.

Metal design is hard work and lucky for her she has her man Dennis to handle all the heavy sculptures.

It was a beautiful night.

Thank you to all that helped me make it a fun party.

The Lull Before The Storm

I could just snug right down into this bed and take a nap!

But I can't take a nap because I have the Roosters coming for dinner tonight!

Quiet afternoon at the shop today. So I rearranged my props and worked on dusting and windexing.

Saturday On The Deck

A relaxing tropical yard design idea from Coastal Living. Posted by Coastal Beach + Nautical Decor.

I love the tranquil feel of this deck/french doors arrangement.

The painted walls are fabulous. Love the silky coral bedding.

Thank you Marcus Design for posting.

Friday's Flowers At The Holler

Royal Orange!

My mother's favorite flower.

Come on Geranium, you can blossom here in the woods.

Royal Purple! Wow!

The Honeysuckle smells as good as it looks.

Wild Black Raspberry blossoms.

She's a beauty.

This is how I start my day, by walking in my yard and seeing who is poking their head up this morning. The morning sun is so low in the sky, back-lighting the flowers and making the colors so crystal clear.

Have a great weekend!!
