The touches of coral/pink, in this antique wallpaper print, is just the right amount of pink accent in a room.

Here is a pink paint color, on the walls, that I can live with. It is more of a neutral than a pink!

Good morning my fab friends! I have a little spring soirée on the brain and in planning, I decided to order this #chinoiserie set of…
These pink cookie flowers, in a Double Happiness jar, make me smile!

I love the pink and white, all I would add is a blue and white, Chinese lamp next to the bed.
Fresh and pink!

Good Morning Pat Custer Denison

These Emma Bridgewater coco mugs have been on my mind for quite a while! I finally put an order in after a three year drought.

Now I wish I had ordered more! Forgot how much I love her dishes. The colors are so rich.

I tell my customers to only buy what they love and here you go, my favorites all in a row! Money's roosters, black sheep from West Virginia and Emma Bridgewater dishes from Stoke on Trent, England.

Pink Pansies half pint mugs and a teapot.

Bear with Brown Trout along side french bowls and 8" plates for your cupcakes.

Which one to chose? Emma has great transfers, the colors are so bright and true.

Plates by Big Tomato and a little creamer I "Found".

That was a lot of work, unpacking all the pieces of transfer ware from across the pond.  Time for tea Timothy!

Now I need a nap!

New new new in the shop and more coming by the truck loads!

Christmas in May!

Love what caught my eye, on Pinterest, this week. This chair and wall paper...

Ornate traditionals distressed and full of character are modernized by illuminating color-ways in the Anastasia collection. Power loomed in Egypt of polypropylene and polyester, Anastasia not only is durable and easy care, but gives the appearance of being a fine rug made by hand. The intricate detail, luster of colors, and unbeatable price point establish the value of this outstanding collection. Anastasia is available in various sizes including rounds and runners.

A stack of quilts, is a summer cottage must, on damp mornings and chilly evenings in the porch swing.

A basket full, of quilts, is even better next to the fireplace hearth.

Everyone is excited about coming to the cottage and chilling out! Bring your sweatshirts and jeans, this May is a cool one, fire in the fireplace weather. The sun is shinning, that's a plus!

Craving Spring On The Peninsula

New scents in the shop this May Day!

"elizabethW", from San Francisco CA, is hand crafted, small batch apothecary. Smells so fresh and feels so light on your hands. Customer service gets a five star review, from me!

Green, blue and white, Mad Cap Cottage and hand sewn pillows!

Just thinking, sandy-beachy-sunny days with late evening sunsets reflecting the colors of the day. Packing for cottage life.

Tasseled pouches, my shower cap, of course, and some of elizabethW in my bag.

A pretty cottage bed to rest your city head! Always smells so good when you get into the peninsula.

When you get up and have had your walk and coffee, come down to Anchor Cottage to shop our new products for the season. Hand picked with you in mind.

This nightshirt puts a big smile on my face! Who could have thought it? Giraffes on water skies! Ha Ha!!

This wonderfully, silky soft quilt, from Pine Cone Hill, would make the best wedding gift.

Looking back, into my favorite area of the shop. What a mess! All good, just the same, special orders of customers, a small chair to be recovered in Mad Cap Cottage fabric for the display I am working on. And, the red Radio Flyer wagon, an original, made in Chicago, that has been with me for fifteen years. I have two of them that I use to move props around, in the store.

Customers can park behind the shop, across from the library, and come in, through the backdoor, when there is no parking out front. Makes it very convenient, when schlepping purchases out to the vehicle, instead of crossing M-22!

Slow, but sure, the linen line is coming in. The price point is decent, and the way the fabric takes the dye is beautiful. The colors are really fabulous.

We are, just now, tipping the scales into spring. It is always a welcomed time on the peninsula. The ski is blue, the wildflowers carpet the earth and the sun shines.

Working On A Display

I sewed seven pillows, still have to stitch the bottom closed, for a display of Mad Cap Cottage fabrics in Anchor Cottage.

I have two more, display pillows, already in the shop. I also have Mad Cap Cottage wall paper swatches to put on the display table. Have some ideas and need to clear the "sale" table to have room to set up.

Not to change the subject, but don't you love having a perch that delights you when you sit down to think?

I'll keep you posted on the Mad Cap Cottage display, in the meantime, enjoy the beautiful day!
