A Black & White Wedding

My eldest son is being married on Oct 4, 2013 in Nashville Tennessee. His little fiance is having all the guests dress in black or white attire. So I am on the prowl for a suitable, "mother-of-the-groom" dress.

Above, Jenna Lyons skirt and blouse strike me. Am I too short to wear that look?

This look made me think of going into a tuxedo shop and ordering it in white and wearing the tux with nothing underneath, only pearls.

If I am going to wear high heels they will have to make me chuckle while they hurt my feet!

This Bride is seriously creating a meaningful wedding itinerary.

This is boring, may need the mustache to wear with it!

I like the length and the fullness of this skirt worn with the sequined, anchor shell below.

Isn't this the truth, thank you Dr. Seuss!!

Coco Sews

Coco was a busy woman this week. She made special order pillows for three different customers.

The customer, above, loved her pillows, table topper and green lamp she bought for her porch room.

This woman, and we have had her on the blog before, has an eye for color. She ordered up a lumbar pillow in this fabulous fabric. Coco had fun with the fresh, colorful fabrics to sew.

These pillow are going into a home to freshen up a dated sofa and chairs.

Coco made seven pillows for this project.

Altogether Coco made ten pillows and one table topper for me this week.

I love how this fabric perked up this sofa. Next year, white cotton duck slip covers to go with the new pillows will be fun.

Lighting and Composition

Working with my camera on color, lighting and framing the photo.

This a very special sign as it is the catapult for my husband's and mine next journey in this story we call life.

Lighting the browns!

In your mind, picture yourself decorating the interior of an all wood home.

I am thinking Country French with inky blue and white Toile wing chairs, Flokati rugs and large French Terracotta glazed lamps on either side of my leather sofa.

Putting It Into Perspective

Repinned by Thomas Murphy.

I like the attitude of this truck.

Square deal.

Repinned from Thomas Murphy

Need an umbrella when it rains and an anchor in the storm.

Caroline Kennedy property.

Putting it all into perspective, who has not loved and lost?
Who has not sought shelter in the storm? Who has not lusted after a red truck?

Have a great weekend!
