The Road Less Traveled, The Scenic Route!

Winston Salem, High Point, Raleigh....

I found no remnants!

But, on the road less traveled, I found a stash of beautiful remnants.

I did leave some so I can go back and buy some more!

I haven't ran into UK fabrics in while.

I found some very special prints. Reminds me of Pat Dennison. Could she print fabric?

I could build a room around this collection.

This will be my Memorial Day table.

Who has the eye to create all these interesting patterns and color combinations?

Took some time to smell the oranges.

Found some new stamps for my shopping bags.

Off the main drag and found these darling dolls.

The food was delicious.

This is called a "block head"!

When some retailers go to market they take the road less traveled....they take the scenic route!

Sunny Saturday Pinterest Picks

This is such a happy combination of prints and colors! Has me at, "Hello Spring!"

Time for a color and a cut on Tuesday.

A sweet and gentle flower arrangement.

This pink has the right amount of blue to suit me.

Red, white and blue. My true colors!

Bring on the Daffodils, Spring has sprung, the grass is greening and the land is waking up from it's long Winter's nap.

I follow an assortment of, "pinners" on Pinterest and always seem to find myself leaning towards the same people. Thank you Gracie Griffiths and Pigstown Design!

A Little Industrial Spying

I was so excited to have a chance to see one of my favorite blogs, live!

Furbish is fresh and youthful. A wonderful mix of southern and girlie, or are those two the same thing?

Furbish is a little old warehouse with gorgeous window treatments, they really make the store, and nicely spaced vignettes allowing your eye to rest as you absorb the pretty pieces.

Leah greeted us with a charming smile and let us take pictures of the store.

I, personally, could have bought one of everything. Fresh is the word that keeps popping into my mind as I write this post. Fresh colors, design, floor plan and product. Loved all the rugs and the way they delineated the flow through the shop.

The store is not as large as I had thought, but was not crammed with merchandise, the displays were  easy on the eyes.

Furbish has "dared to mix"!

Head over to her blog site, http://www.isuwannee.com/and take a drool over her lovely taste.

Thank you, Furbish, for letting me enjoy your shop and post it on my blog.

Takes My Breath Away Beautiful!

Thank you Pigtown Design for posting these slip covered chairs on Pinterest.

Flux china from Stoke-On-Trent.
Also posted by Pigtown Design.
.
Gracie Griffiths, from the UK, pinned this pink and green combo. Beautifully fresh!

Another Pin from Pigtown Design, doesn't she have a wonderful eye?

These pins are giving me a fresh eye for decorating the shop this spring. I love the crispness of the blue and white combinations. The green chair against the pink toile is so feminine.

Have a beautiful Sunday!

Painting In My Studio

Nothing better than standing in the sunshine, painting furniture for my shop, on these single digit days.

My dogs lay in the sun and I play Elvis Costello and sing real loud.

These two pieces are coming down, tomorrow, for a coat of paint. I am using Dover White by Sherwin Williams.

Snow bound at Hoot's Holler.
