Sarah's Last Day @ Anchor Cottage For The Season

Sarah and I flipped nautical world.

We set up a barnyard harvest table.

Put together a wonderful nautical display for the lake house.

The license plate ducks are a quack!

Sarah was the most fun, to work with, ever. She was always ready to step up to the plate and put her shoulder into the project with a smile and a sense of humor. Good luck at college Sarah!

August Harvest Table

Love the rich colors of this table.

Harvest Golds, Turquoise Skies and Crimson Plums.

"Emma Bridgewater" dishes, "Williamsburg Collection" trays and cache pots.

Purple Pumpkins and Copper Buckets. I had fun putting this table together!

Spode, Pimpernel, Portmeirion, and The Red Ladder

Sometimes a girl just needs to go shopping. I had some Pimpernel place mats with a Spode design and some Portmeirion bowls at my shop. So I took them home, along with some Turquoise tapers. Then I sauntered down to my  favorite shop, The Red Ladder, and bought my center piece and two yards of maize silk ribbon. My son is flying in from Brooklyn NY so I needed to set a harvest table for dinner. Caesar salad and fillet Mignon. Blueberry something for desert.

Great Nautical Bed

Sarah made the bed so it must be Monday.

She's my Sunday decorator. I never know what to expect when I walk in Monday morning.

Sarah Has Become Quite Talented In The Art Of Prop Arranging!

It's harvest time in the Leelanau Peninsula and Sarah set the table to reflect the season.

Sarah is becoming very good at displaying Nautical vignettes.

We only have Sarah until August 24th. The more she plays display the better she becomes. We will miss her when she goes back to school. Wait until you see her nautical bed in the next blog!

Sarah Sets The Table

It's not easy envisioning a table scape.

Sarah is nineteen years old with one year of art college under her belt. I have never met a nineteen year old that could set a pretty table.

She had to use what is available in the store at this time. Ops, no harvest gold napkins! But she did find log cabin place mats from McCee KY and a pair of "Stinkers" by Money's Folk Art.

Emma Bridgewater Black Toast stoneware and antique brass candlesticks on the black oriental fabric looks very good.

Keep up the good work Sarah!
