Bay City New Years Eve

The view outside our window of the Saginaw River. Don't forget the gray tones as you view the next few photos.

We walked to dinner past the Planetarium.

Interesting orange vertical exterior.

Water Street was full of Christmas lights!!

Bay City has a great smorgasbord of architecture.

Down on Saginaw Street.

The holiday lights made the little city sparkle.

Had to take the photo...good composition.

When Steve and I come to Bay City to shop we always have dinner here.

Bay City is a 1865 lumber port on the Saginaw River off of the Saginaw bay on Lake Huron.

Have not had a photo of myself for over 10 years!

My darling mate.

Thank you to the waiter for the photo shot. Looks like a happy pair.

Happy New Year,
Love, Mary Ann & Steve

Christmas At Hoot's Holler

Christmas at Hoot's Holler seems to center around the feast!

Setting the table pretty....

Waiting for company to come for dinner.

The cookies are frosted and the Bacardi Rum Cake in it's place of honor!!

The chef he is a chefin up Standing Rib Roast, Caesar Salad and Twice Baked Potatoes...yum.

Benny got a Gorilla for Christmas.

Joe got his Yellow Stick.

We have a tall and skinny tree with lots of holes to hang our ornaments in.

The professor.

We were blessed with a dusting of snow.

Clam Dip and Triscuts to munch on.

I love presents and cookies.

The company arrived and we had a merry old time.

Merry Christmas From Anchor Cottage

Radio Flyers and antlers on hand sewn quilts...

Portmeirion mixed with Emma Bridgewater...

English old with English new...

Tartan Plaid pillows and Roman ones too....

Santa and Elves bring it to you....

Evergreens warmed by the flicker of candles...

These are a few of my Christmas delights...

You can try singing it!!

Merry Christmas To All,
Love, Mary Ann

What Has Been Going On @ Anchor Cottage

I love the Warty Gourd chicken by Lonnie & Twyla Money.  When I go to their house, in the spring, the Pear trees are loaded with white blossoms and Baltimore Orioles just like in the painting!

Working on painting all of the cabinetry in the store Dover White.

To cover up the blue, it is taking two coats of primer and one coat of the enamel latex paint.

Tools of the trade!

Rocky, of Rocky's Upholstery, brought in my two ottomans I had recovered for the "new look" at Anchor Cottage.

The John Robshaw pillows look really fresh with the green and white trellis pattern and the blue and white floral.

I can not wait to see my shop all decked out with new paint and merchandise for 2012!!

Anthony Orio and The Goodfellers have just released their EPK (electronic press kit).

" It's a great watch for fans and complete evidence of misspent youth. Share it via email or Facebook or any means with clubs you wish to have us play. Personally, next year, I'd like to tour the Midwest and am long overdue for a hometown show."

Follow the link and be ready to hear a great band!!

The Last Week Of November

Had a nice breakfast with this beautiful couple.

Drove to the top of the peninsula to watch the sunset spread it's pink glow over Lake Michigan.

The pink glow spread across the water to North Fox Island.

Stood in my back room fondling my fabrics!

My darling husband chose this fabric for our antique Victorian sofa.

I chose this fabric for our antique Victorian sofa!! I really could go either way, but I do love the softness of the blue and creme.

I brought home folded remnants and end bolts from North Carolina for resale in my shop.

I have an off white leather ottoman that I want to cover just the top of in this fabric.

I have been pricing and hanging 186 fabric swatches. Anchor Cottage now sells cut yardage!

Are these the most adorable Santa Trees by Money's?

Here it is, December 1st....time to hit the ground running.
