2011 " The Year Of Reuse & Appreciate "

I started at the gate with the orange/3 holes bricks.

Found the red bricks from the kitchen chimney, 1890 circa, more work to lay!

The red bricks from 1890 are irregular in a rectangle shape. I am using a brick chisel to chip off the 1890 mortar which consists of, 120 years old sandy-salt crumbles!

Nombre De Dios 1565

This shrine is dedicated to Our Lady de La Leche y Buen Parto-Our Lady of Milk and Happy Delivery. The original shrine is from 1565, it has been rebuilt on the same spot 3 times, this one is from 1915. It is so serene inside and out. This park runs along the Mantanza river at the end of Mulberry St. It is a beautiful place for a walk.

The Color Of Flowers

I found this in an antique junk shop north of St Augustine. Going back for a mirror and wall sconces!

Master Bedroom

I love this room, the light is perfect in here! We still have to trim out the window and door frame, paint and buy lamps, bedside tables and dressers, plus build a closet.

Found Treasures

I crave color in the winter!

I own a framed Currier & Ives Litho from the original Anchor Cottage, circa 1934.

A Limoge platter to add to my collection.

My mate and I take vitamins every morning, so to keep them handy I disguise them in vintage salt & pepper shakers.

I needed a dog biscuit jar on my counter for "good" dogs:-)

Go To Stop!

We are here! 21 Mulberry is a postage stamp house on a collector's stamp lot, 32'x37'.

Where's My Counter?

All the inventory is moved over to the south half of the store. Hope the north half rents!

This is a nice start for decorating a room. Add oriental carpet and gold leaf mirror over the fireplace.

Still looking for my counter:)

Red & White Against The Snow

It always feels good to have the tree down and the decorations put away this time of year.

Plants are barely holding on.

Snow is piling up.

Long Live Folk Craft

I had a moment to wander through my favorite gallery the other day and ended up making a wish list of art for my home. This artist, above, has a great collection of bird pieces.

Must have this to hang on my kitchen wall.

This tile piece goes outside, next to my front door.

Over the fireplace.

I would hang these along my picket fence.

The intensity of this landscape will hang on the dinningroom wall.

The Michigan Artists Gallery is located in Suttons Bay MI and has a select collection of modern day folk art and paintings that will knock your socks off.
