I was all over the place, last week, on pinterest. Just couldn't help myself there were so many interesting decorating choices out there. The colors and collections that were put together are amazing. Traditional, English, Bohemian, Chinoiserie and seaside magic caught my eye and made me smile!

A Quick Walk Around The Shop

August has flown by!

Spent all day yesterday ordering product for an
 overall fluff of the shop.

Labor Day weekend is around the corner.

All new license plate art.

Ladies pouring over the bedding swatches, wallpaper books and fabrics. The fall nesting instinct is kicking in.

Time to sit down and put my feet up!

And turn the light off when I leave.

Can't wait to get all the fun new pieces into the shop. Pillows, rugs, seasonal foliage, paper products, bedding, lamps and more.

The Silent Garden

Peace Rose waiting for the storm.

Cone Flowers listen for the drops.

Blue Lobelia reaching out for a drink.

Not moving in the silence.

Horseradish, Sedum and Ferns feeling the humidity.

Color in between the greens,

Rose Of Sharon is the queen.

Blue Hydrangea, ripe for winter arrangement cutting.

The flowers speak to me, in the quiet, before the rain." See us raise our heads to the downpour from the sky."
"A drink of water is what we need to show to you how pretty flowers can be."

Appreciate the silent moments when they come to you.

Guest Room In The Woods

The newlyweds are coming in today!
 Can't wait to say hey:-)
Thunder and lighting and much needed rain,
will not dampen our parade because we are so happy to have them stay at Hoot's Holler B&B under the trees!

I have to say this; I tell my customers, all the time, "buy only what you love and it will all work together". That being said, the Pine Cone Hill sheets and duvet cover and Dash & Albert, zebra print, rug along with the handmade quilt from Tennessee are rejects of the saleroom at the shop! But the buyer brought them home and put together a cozy space in time. Just need to snag a bed skirt off the shelf.

Off to buy supplies at Hansen's!!

Living in a beach house over looking the activity on the water.
Waking up to fresh, cool mornings.
Dinning with your toes in the sand and the breeze in your hair.

An August Morning

On Fridays I have an extra hour before I head to Anchor Cottage.
So I look around to see what I can take a picture of for a blog post. I see that I brought in presents from the shop! The ficus tree and boxwood ball, Money's birds and a garage sale find on my kitchen windowsill.

Ha Ha! ready for the beach! This pile of swimsuits, hats and sunglasses have the place of honor right next to the front door all summer!

Blue, green and white!

I brought home July's pay check in the form of two Bunny Williams pillows and throw. I have wanted these for myself for quite awhile now. Love them.

Needed a pair of canisters for flour and sugar on the counter and had a pair of these Portmeirion canisters in the Pomona pattern hanging around the shop so I brought them home and I love fruit pattern against the wood.

All and all it was a good haul and yes I did leave some merchandise for the customers to buy.
