New Dash & Albert Rug Swatches

Weighing in at 35.5 lbs, the rug swatches, for the 2016 season, arrived down here in the Holler.

So, of course I had to open them to see what they looked like!

The selection of swatches are fabulous!

The PET fibers, recycled polyester, are indoor/outdoor rugs that are very soft under bare feet.

The rug patterns have been designed as backdrops on your floor. They create a sense of continuity within the room.

The new colors are so "Lake Michigan" friendly.

Cottage, cabin or contemporary home decor.

Price points per square foot make them affordable for summertime digs in the woods or on the water.

If you see anything that you like, e-mail me, and I can arrange to get some of these swatches in your hand.

The rugs come in all the in-stock sizing, 1.5 x 2 up to 12 x 20!

It's going to be a great season, schlepping rugs, down at Anchor Cottage Freshwater Decor.

A Sunny Sunday!

On the kitchen window sill.

My favorite Irish pottery, Nicholas Mosse.

The sun really brought the colors to life.

What a beautiful, sunshiny day.

Fresh and happy colors.
 Love the pink buffalo check.
Do you force your Forsythia? I try to every March.
Blue and white, by it's self, is so crisp and clean.
Yellow tasseled fringe to shake it up a little.
Lovely pink and white vase with a small amount of bling.
Obviously my pins are reflecting my thoughts of
sunshine and blue skies.

Have a sweet Valentine weekend!

Winter Landscape

A writer's dream of no distractions.

Quiet, muffled of sound.

Gray and white charcoal smeared softly.

Where to go but inside the machinations of the mind.

We are in the depths of winter.
Color sucked out of the season.

We are the tough ones, alive, in the land of no light.
Time to pull on my red sweater!

Having A Cozy Winter In The Studio

It is a freedom, of sorts,
to have a space where anything goes.

Standing in front of windows filled with light.

Having enough wall space to hang what ever you want.

To play music and enjoy the flowers .

Benjamin is cozy!

I would recommend a light filled space for the imagination to take a vacation and create, without boundaries, a collection of senses. Sight, sound and scent. The view out the windows, the acoustics of the music as the scent of paint permeates your nostrils.

A liberating feeling.
