Working The Wedding Shoes

With just over two months to go, I have bought shoes to wear to the wedding this spring.

I wear them every morning to break them in. When I decide that they will be comfortable then I will pick out a dress! Last wedding I bought the dress first and then the shoes. The shoes made the dress but killed my feet and I had to go to plan B.

I thought these little slippers are appropriate wedding wear.

Thinking of fun times coming:-)

Waiting on spring.
It's the time of year to think about freshening up your territory. Blush me some Coral Reef, what a pretty color. I need to find something for the shop in that color. Slipcovers on chairs looks fresh and easy. Those window treatments are perfect. Could not have been done better.

I think I am going to do Coral colored Geraniums, in my big pots, in front of the shop this season.

Observing The Details

Looking at the pictures in my British decorating magazine and what caught my eye?

These framed prints hanging on the wall, of a guest house, designed by Marshall Watson

The originals were done by Alexander Francis Lydon, born in Ireland, 1836, died in England in 1917.

"The Compleat Angler" was released by Susan Willams-Ellis for Portmeirion in 1981.

I purchased this pattern in 1981.
They have been in my cupboard for thirty five years and are used everyday. There was no recognition, for the prints, in the article. It's peculiar, how the minds eye can pick up and register, at a glance, what has been stored in the brains memory.

Monday morning musings!

Walking On The Beach With My Fellers

Down the path and up, over the dune...

Pyramid Point, largely it looms...

Swung my camera to my nose and said, "hey, mother nature, hold that poise!"

Land masts jutting, out, into the lake. Ancient in their time.

Love the geological formations along the Lake Michigan shore line. Always a picture!

Love the freshness of these pins.

I am working on putting the shop back together and these colors and the light makes me think about the month of June.
Crisp and breezy are the words that come to mind.

Pinterest is a great tool for inspiration.

Seventeen days until spring.
