The Mary T Project

Those of you that come into my shop have seen these baskets and paper beads for purchase.

Mary T first brought in these baskets, three seasons ago, to raise money for "Kids First" over in Uganda. The sale of the baskets and paper beads, made by the women of "Kids First", helps eliminate poverty and supports the education of their children.

The day Mary brought in this body of work, House Beautiful had similar baskets featured on page seventeen of the June issue!

Hung on the wall or stacked on your counter, these baskets are colorful and fun to use while helping mothers and children in need.

Patriotism

The big holiday weekend is coming quickly!

I have always loved red, white and blue, they are my colors and I wear them very well.

It is 53 degrees and raining today and tomorrow is the first day of Summer! Wish I were home with a fire in the fireplace, baking Chocolate Chip cookies and chilling with by babe. This bedroom delights me to no end. Via Christel Romahn

What Inspired Me This Week

The inspiration, here, is to paint the interior side of the entry door, to my studio, yellow. Then, when I prop the door open, I can see the yellow door from my front porch. How happy is that?

What a classy looking food truck!

If everyday, that I am on the beach, I paint one small sketch and pen one small story, I will have a collection of summer at my finger tips over the long, quiet winter months.

I am buying some watercolor pens!
