Inspiration everywhere I look today! Must have woken up with the "eye"! I have an area in the main floor of my home, similar to the one pictured up top, that would benefit by painting the exposed support this green. It has radiant floor heat and these tiles would look very tidy.

I stayed in an Airbnb, Murfreesboro TN, and she had slipped-covered all the "large" furniture pieces in creamy canvas. It is a great look for the warmer season. I like the chunk of lamp, at the end of the sofa.

Mercury Mosaics

This blue and white tile work with brass plumbing is making me sing the blues!! The color of the blue and that it goes all the way up the wall, to the ceiling, in this small bathroom, is very refreshing.

This post is, because, my little DIL remarked that she would like an island, in her kitchen, at her new town house. I think that taking down the wall between the kitchen and living room, and exposing the whole length of the area. All the way out french doors onto a patio in the yard is an option! It seems that her decorating project inspires me as I follow the decorating ideas on line.

After a major weather set back, Anchor Cottage is now open for the season! We were hit with thirty three inches of heavy, wet, icy snow for three days in a row. We are still digging out what we can stick our plastic snow shovel in (frozen, compacted slush) and move over to the side so the customers can make it up the sidewalk and into the front door! 

The sun is out, so come on down to Anchor Cottage, today and Saturday, we have a store full of interesting accessories for your home decor!

Birdsong Quilt

Pretty and happy is what I found on Pinterest this snowy morning in April. Hit with an icy, snowy mix, starting last night. More of the same, maybe some ice pellets too, Saturday night, all of Sunday and into Monday! Hey, April showers bring May Flowers! But what do May Flowers bring? Pilgrims! 

Anchor Cottage is closed for the weekend. I will be open Tuesday through Saturday, ten until five starting April 17th. Enjoy the snow day! I have plenty of housework I'll be doing:-)

First Day At The Shop This Year!

Spent the last week moving the props around and cleaning up the scuffs and dings from last season. 

Had Will Hoge playing on  the Bose, singing and dusting and dancing from display to display. 

Bringing my hand made pillows in a few at a time. 

With all the marble being used, these days, a cut crystal biscuit jar adds a nice touch on the counter for dog treats!

The herd from Renwick WV are here in the shop.

New lotion and potion line coming in, along with, Emma Bridgewater, totes and espadrilles, Sir & Madame cutting boards and dish towels. Dash & Albert rugs, Pine Cone Hill bedding and "Found" items trickling, in through the door, all of May. I'll keep you posted.

Pastel Cottages On The Beach

Three magnificent days ocean side. 

Carved into the dunes, Quail Hollow, on the Atlantic Ocean. 

The world was our castle...

We had it all to ourselves.

Sunrise walks...

...around the pool...

...up the stairs to the beach.

Very quiet.

Evening walks...

...evening sunsets...

...we stayed in the lower corner unit...

....never left the compound...

...pink, mint, pale blue and yellow...

...inspired to make "Jungle Juice", coconut rum, spiced rum, pineapple rum and lemonade/pineapple juice mixer...

....dinner was across the street at the "Elk House"...

We walked the beach and drank the rum and made a pac that we'll be back! 

Just In From The South

Had to unload the Jeep so I could drive to Anchor Cottage, we were so packed full! 

When "Money's" is the last stop, on the buying excursion, the goods tend to lie gently on top of everything else that is packed into the car.  

I am at the shop, making room for the new merchandise, figuring out where to display all these happy pieces! 

Cats and dogs, foxes and bears!

The corbels were at the bottom of the stack. They were unloaded last. Setting outside on the porch until their display area is ready for them. 

Athens Ohio, Charlottesville Virginia, St Augustine Florida, Clayton Georgia, Murfreesboro Tennessee and East Bernstadt Kentucky were all the stops on this trip. 

Bought a little bit of merchandise in each spot and boy does it add up! Making room so I can open soon!
