Spring has come to northern Michigan! It is sunny, the leaves are out and the sky is blue.

What caught my eye on the radar this week;

A lighter side to blue and yellow for a darling cottage kitchen and an outdoor table.

Blue and white transfer ware with birds, so pretty.

Beach Antiques Row in West Palm, we're going!

I recognize the spool bed with Pine Cone Hill bed skirt, quilt and shams on top of a Dash & Albert rug! Interior designer, Betsy Burnham, go take a look at the show house she worked on for Coastal Living.  Also spotted, blue and white oriental lamp and Sea Bag with a navy anchor! It was like stepping into my shop!

If you are coming north, this weekend, be sure to bring your sweatshirt, it's still a little chilly down by the water.

I am just tickled with my new sign:-)

My husband has many talents, the main one is confidence. He will get the job done if it takes watching videos about vinyl lettering to researching paint to withstand the hot sun all summer?!

The store finally has "stage presence"! 

"Ta da!!" 

Have a cozy weekend, put a fire in the fireplace and a pot of Goulash on the stove. Damp and chilly today.

Wallpaper For A Bedroom

I am working with a customer who would like to decorate her master bedroom in all blue and white. So I went through my wallpaper books and set up a blue and white vignette for her to take a look at.

As we all know wallpaper books can be a bit intriguing and we can't stop turning the pages to see what's next! So here we go, she turned the pages and found this so very soft and pretty paper, and it almost took her off her tracks. She even considered how to work it in with all blue and white!!

After she left I turned back to the page that had stopped her in her tracks and decided to make a vignette with a large gingham check for an upholstered headboard and a casual striped cotton rug. Threw in some pillows and wished I had a place to use this combination! So soft and serene.

As I always muse,
 "you never know where you will find your next decorating inspiration!"

Almost There

I can't wait for the new sign:-) The professor said that it would be more grammatically correct  if the quotation marks were not there. Too late now. I guess we just wanted it known that this shop is all about (home decor)! Happy Birthday professor!!

Just Wanted To Show You

I wintered over my Geraniums and Blue Lobelia in the studio.

The color has been a delight against the grey days.

Almost time to take the pots outside. Maybe after Mother's Day if there is no chance of frost.
