Hunkering Down With The Season

raverly.com

Looking through my pinterest files and finding that I have already pinned quite a few wintertime projects! I haven't knitted a vest since 1967! I think I may knit one this year. Large needles, fluffy mohair, an easy pattern and Liz Saile will be the ticket!

I discovered a rug braiding tool in one of the "ladies" sewing boxes, that I collect. Never know what you will find! A sock darner, stainless steel needles, made in England and iron-on patches galore!!

Found my "in front of the fireplace" "gee, it is chilly out" "it's still snowing out" cocktail!! Sounds like a "Dr. Zhivago" under fur blankets kind of drink!

November is my birthday month. I love Pumpkin Pie and Thanksgiving dinner. But what I really love is a "Kindling Cracker"! You screw it onto a stump and split your wood to make kindling to start your fires!

Layered up and out the door, so who can see your jewelry accessory for the day? Wear it on your cuff and let it hang out over your mittens! Darling idea.

This would be an "in front of the fire" project to do. I use them to set under hot dishes on the dinning table!

I ordered rubber boots, the other day, and will wear my wool socks inside them and wrap myself with a cozy shawl, to walk the winter moraines down here, in the Holler. A drying rack, for in front of the woodstove is what I want!

Well, sounds like a birthday wish list to me!!
Bring on November and let the hunkering begin.
